Tara has been a competitive athlete since high school, when she ran track and cross country. After college, she continued pursuing her passion for endurance sports, racing distances from 5Ks to marathons. Along the way, she discovered a love for helping others achieve their fitness goals and began personal training clients while working in insurance claims.
After having her children, Tara expanded her coaching experience by leading outdoor bootcamp classes and teaching a variety of exercise classes at Villanova University, where she continues to work with personal training clients.
In 2021, Tara’s husband, Lei, gifted her six months at CrossFit MFP for Christmas. She quickly fell in love with CrossFit, even though the transition from endurance sports presented plenty of challenges. Skills such as double-unders and barbell movements did not come easily, but Tara kept showing up, embracing the learning process, and pushing herself to improve.
That persistence paid off when Tara qualified for the CrossFit Quarterfinals. More importantly, the experience reinforced her belief that progress comes from consistency, perseverance, and a willingness to step outside your comfort zone.
Tara is passionate about sharing that mindset with the CrossFit community. As an athlete and coach, she hopes to encourage others to challenge themselves, build confidence, and discover just how much they are capable of achieving.
